Bakers Lodge in Murchison Falls National Park was established in 2014. It is located on the South bank of the mighty Nile River which cuts across, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area – Murchison Falls National Park. The lodge derives its name from the historic English explorer Samuel Baker.
The location of the safari lodge is a large private area with direct river access, large shady trees and wetland access area. African Elephants, Egret birds, hippos are always seen along the river banks.
The lodge comprises of eight comfortable exclusive cottages which provide a unique stay and offer beautiful vistas of the river Nile and sunset. Each of the cottage has a deck to offer privacy.
The rooms range from double, twin beds, triples and families which accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children for some rooms.
The lodge has authentic furniture designs, large spacious beds, mosquito nets, a well-appointed en suite bathroom with flushing toilet and a hot water solar shower and also some with bath tubs.
We also offer special Fly-in packaged rates which include accommodation, transportation to and from nearby airstrips and activities such as Nile River boat cruises and game drives.
Bakers Lodge Murchison Falls National Park is proudly engaged in a range of activities that make our guests enjoy their stay. Game drives of between 3-5 hours to view some of the big five such as lions, African Elephants. The facility also offers special Fly-in packaged rates which comprise of accommodation, transportation to and from the nearby airstrips and activities such as game drives.
You wouldn’t wish to miss the bush breakfast in the midst of wildlife. This is quite an unforgettable experience. The lodge can also arrange that special occasion dinner besides the Nile, candlelit private and decorated to ones choice.
The lodge also offers cruise experiences and sun downers along the Nile for both upstream to the Murchison Falls and downstream towards the Lake Albert delta area.
The sport fishing by the lodge is on a catch and release policy. Bakers Lodge Murchison Falls National Park has specialist guides and boats equipped for fishing. Do not get surprised if you catch a Nile Perch that weighs 100Kg!
