7 Day Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Uroa Bay Resort
Arrival at Zanzibar Airport, meet and greet, road transfer to Uroa Bay Beach Resort which is located in Zanzibar East Coast at Uroa Beach Village overlooking the very warm Indian Ocean Blue Waters. Welcome drink upon arrival, check in and relax. Dinner and stay overnight at Uroa Bay Resort. Meal plan Dinner.
Day 2 – 4: Beach Leisure
These are your days to relax on the beach, get swimming on the warm waters of the Indian Ocean or just relax beside the hotel swimming pool reading your text books. By your own you can also take this time to visit villages, explore some more interesting sites across the island, get yourselves involved in water-sports activities such as diving, snorkelling, kayaking, windsurfing, game fishing and even dhow cruise, to name but a few. Dinner and stay overnight at Uroa Bay Resort. Meal Plan Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5: Safari Blue Tour
After breakfast we drive to Fumba beach for safari blue tour. This is a full day trip on locally constructed sailing dhows, fitted with outboard motors, marine VHF radios, life jackets and other security requirements. The dhow anchors in a safe and shallow area to allow for snorkeling. High quality snorkeling materials are provided, and a large range of sizes is available. Lunch is served on a sand bank or on one of the many uninhabited island in the region. A traditional dish of barbecued fish, rice, lentils and fish curry is served. Chilled fruit juice, mineral water, and bottled soft drinks are available throughout the tour. After lunch, clients can sail on an outrigger canoe carved out of a single mango tree, snorkel and swim or just relax. Return to Fumba by sail, wind permitting, and clients arrive back at their hotel at about 1730 hrs. Dinner and stay overnight at Uroa Bay Resort. Meal Plan Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 6: City and Spice Tours
After breakfast we drive to Kizimbani for the spice tour. Explore the island and its hidden treasures at a relaxed pace. Travel deep into the interior to see the fragrant spice plantations. Discover how pods, bark, buds and berries are harvested and dried. The intoxicating aromas of fresh cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg will delight the senses and stimulate appetites, so be sure to sample the sweet tropical fruits, fresh seafood and zesty curries Zanzibar is famous for. This is the cheapest place to buy locally made perfumes, oils and spice rings. If you are interested we can arrange spice lunch just after the tour without any extra cost but this should be stated in advance (before we leave at the hotel) as we will need some time for preparation.
After taking lunch we drive to Zanzibar Stone Town tour with our guide for Zanzibar Stone Town tour. The architecture here has been shaped by generations of explorers and spice traders and provides many interesting photography opportunities. We will pay a visit to some of the most interesting sites in Stone Town including the former slave market, National Museum, Old Fort, City Market etc. Remember as you are leaving tomorrow this is then your very best time for shopping. We will give you some time to walk around by yourself or even with a guide for shopping and leisure before getting our transfer back to the hotel. Dinner and stay overnight at Uroa Bay Resort. Day 7: Transfer from Uroa Bay Resort to Airport
