3 Days Gorilla Trekking Uganda Safari
Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Our guide/driver will pick you at 8:00 am from your hotel or place of residence in Kampala and take you on a 9 hour journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the southwestern part of Uganda. You will make a first stopover at the Equator crossing for snacks, photography and a quick experiment that proves the existence of the Equator at that spot. Proceed with a visit to Igongo Cultural Centre. This is more rewarding and amazing as you visit the Ankole museum. You will make another stopover at Agip Motel in Mbarara town for lunch. After lunch, you will get back on the road and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, one of the lushest highland rain forests on Earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. You will arrive at the lodge in Bwindi in the evening in time for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking in Uganda
Begin the day with breakfast ready for Bwindi gorilla trekking in Uganda, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) staff, who will take you through all the dos an don’ts of tracking mountain gorillas in Bwindi. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc. You will be allocated a gorilla group and assigned tour guides who will lead you inside the jungle to see the mountain gorillas in Bwindi for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the mountain gorillas, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Once you locate the gorillas, you will be allowed up to one hour with them as you watch them move up and about. This is the best time to take the best photos of these giant primates. Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi may take between 2 and 6 hours depending on where the mountain gorillas spent the previous night, but it is well worth the effort. The afternoon is spent on a foot safari around the local communities living around the park. You will later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Bwindi Forest – Kampala / Entebbe Out
After your morning breakfast, drive back to Kampala using Kasese – Fort Portal road via Queen Elizabeth National Park for en route game viewing. If you are lucky, you may spot the Elephants, Antelopes and the Warthogs. Enjoy the winding scenery of the foot hills of Mount Rwenzori arriving in Fort Portal for lunch thereafter continue to Kampala/Entebbe to catch your evening flight back home.

Flying option from Bwindi to save you from long driving
For visitors that cannot hold 9 hours drive from Bwindi back to Kampala or Entebbe, we have a flying option for only 2 hours you will be at Entebbe International Airport. We can fly you from either Kisoro airstrip or Kihihi Airstrip to Entebbe
