Day 1: Arrival Entebbe Airport – Kampala

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide who will then take you to Serena Kampala Hotel (High end) or Cassia Lodge (Mid range) or Forest Cottages Kampala (Budget end) for an overnight and dinner. Meal plan Dinner

Day 2: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park

Begin the panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle and, travel to Masindi via Ziwa Rhino Project. A visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking is a must. After lunch, drive to Murchison Falls “. Enjoy the superb comfort at Parra Safari Lodge (High end) or Murchison River Lodge (Mid Lodge facility) or Heritage Safari Lodge (Budget Facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park

After your cup of coffee, cross the Nile by ferry to the northern bank of the park. Your guide will help you spot Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. Return to the hotel for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. En-route, marvel at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over this 17 km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob crocodile. This is also a zone of many bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. There you leave the boat and start your – quite heavy – hike to the Top of the Falls (approx. 1 hour). See where the world’s longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. Your driver/guide will be waiting for you to bring you back to the lodge. Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park

After your morning breakfast ready for a boat trip to the Nile Delta that takes you between 4-5hrs, this one of the most interesting experiences in Murchison falls National Park through the extensive papyrus delta through which the Victoria Nile flows into Lake Albert. Here again there are plenty of animals and birds to see with an excellent chance of seeing the rare Shoebill. Afternoon drive to Budongo Forest. Overnight at Budongo Eco Lodge Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking – Kampala/Entebbe

Wake up at 6:00am prepared to take on an early morning Chimpanzee walk in Budongo forest, you ill trail the Chimpanzees to learn more on their way of life including other primates. Return to Kampala with your lunch enroute where you will be dropped off to a place of your residence or Entebbe Airport at leisure for your flight to next destination or back home. Meal plan. B & L.
